Tartar acid is used in wine acidity regulator,gypsum retarder,cosmetic ingredient,metal polish,
food emulsifying agent,drug splitter,baking powders and leavening systems.
In a word,it can used in food,brewing,pharma and industry(construction,electronic..)
Along with some of its salts, cream of tartar (potassium hydrogen tartrate) and
Rochelle salt (potassium sodium tartrate),
it is obtained from secondary products of wine fermentation.
Tartaric acid solution is traditionally used as an acidulant in carbonated drinks,
militant tablets, gelatin puddings, and fruit jellies.
It has many professional applications—e. h., in cleaning and polishing metals,
in calico printing, in wool dyeing, as well as in certain photographic stamping and development techniques.
Many tartaric acids and the common tartrate salts are all colourless, crystalline hues readily soluble in water.
Rochelle salt is employed in silvering decorative mirrors, in processing parmesan cheese, and in compounding mild cathartics.
Lotion of tartar is incorporated into cooking powders, hard sweets, and taffies;
and it is used in the cleaning of brass, the electrolytic tinning of iron and metal,
and the covering of other alloys with gold and silver.
Tartar emetic can be used as an insecticide and a dyeing mordant.
